Meet Abby: A Documentary Wedding Photographer From Missouri to the Pacific Northwest

Hey, I'm Abby. If you're here, you're probably planning a wedding, or you've already booked me and want to know a little more about the person who'll be beside you all day with a camera. Either way, I'm so glad you're here.

My style: real, earthy, and a little nostalgic.

I'm a documentary photographer at heart. I don't want to stage your day. I want to remember it for you, exactly as it felt.

That means candid moments, natural colour and soft, earthy tones. I want your photos to feel like a memory, not a magazine ad. Twenty years from now, I want you to flip through your gallery and feel the warmth of the room again: the laughter, the nerves, the hug you didn't know someone caught.

I'll still guide you when you need it. Nobody wants to feel awkward in front of a camera. But I'll never ask you to be someone you're not.

Here's something that might surprise you: I don't shoot every wedding the same way. I have a style I love, but your photos aren't about me. I adapt to you. Some couples are loud and playful, others quiet and tender, and I want your gallery to show exactly who you are. Authentic you, every time.

Thirteen years of love stories

I've been photographing weddings for thirteen years. I've stood in barns, ballrooms, glass houses and open fields. I've watched first looks bring grown men to tears, and grandmas steal the dance floor. After all that time, I still get butterflies on wedding mornings. I don't take that for granted.

Those years taught me something you can't learn from a camera manual: how to read a room, how to stay calm when the timeline slips, and how to be in the right spot before the moment happens.

What it's like to work with me

I want your wedding day to feel personal and genuinely fun. My job is to help you feel comfortable, hyped up, supported and completely yourself. I'm part photographer, part hype woman and part calm in the chaos.

My favourite couples are wildly in love, laid-back and fun. They trust my eye and care more about how their day feels than whether every hair is perfect. If that sounds like you, we're going to get along great.

Why the vows get me every time

If you ask me my favourite part of a wedding, it's the vows. Always.

My marriage is a treasure to me. My husband is my best friend, and being married is one of the most incredible parts of my life. I truly, deeply believe in marriage: in what it stands for, and that it's needed, wanted and worth cherishing.

That's a big part of why I love this work. When you stand up and make those promises, I'm not just taking pictures. I believe in what you're doing, and I want to honour it.

When I'm not behind the camera

You'll find me outdoors, with my family, or training. I'm big into fitness and compete in Hyrox, which means I'm the photographer who can keep up all day, climb the hill for the better angle, and still have energy for your dance floor.

Some exciting news: I'm moving to Gig Harbor, Washington!

This move is about the life I want to live. I'm drawn to the mountains, the water, the hiking trails and the tight-knit, family-oriented feel of the area. Being closer to nature fills my cup, and I know it'll show up in my work.

To my Missouri couples: I'm still yours

If you've booked with me, nothing changes. I'll be there for your wedding, just as planned.

Missouri has my heart. It's where I built my business, and I'm a trusted vendor at several venues I love. I'll keep travelling back to photograph Missouri weddings, and I'm happy to travel anywhere else your love story takes us. I am a trusted vendor at Haue Valley, Glass Haus, and the Co-Op.

Why couples book me

• Experience you can feel. Thirteen years means I'm calm, prepared and ready for whatever the day brings.

• Photos that feel like memories. Candid, natural and timeless, not trendy.

• A genuinely good time. I'll make you laugh, keep you relaxed and look after you all day.

• I keep it small on purpose. I take a limited number of weddings each year, so every couple gets my full attention.

• I'll go where you go. Missouri, the Pacific Northwest and beyond.
